What is liminal fiction?

Before writing a story, when considering characters, situations, conflicts, I often hope to create a pinnacle moment of thought or action, the approach toward or crossing of or emergence from a threshold, mental or physical. This intention brings the word liminal to mind, and I'm not alone in suggesting that liminality applies to and can be found within a broad range of literary genres.

If you’re a writer and have a 100 – 500 word piece you think I'd enjoy, I don’t have a formal submissions policy, but please feel free to email me your story as inline text and I’ll gladly consider it.

Please note that writers posted here retain all copyrights to their work. GUESTS are credited beside the titles of their stories; the rest are by me, Richard Bon.
